The Interesting Texts page is the main content page of getty.net. it is chock full of interesting information, all of it in text form, hence the term Interesting Texts. Note the special interest sections: Temple University related texts, geek texts, and dangerous texts, these are my personal favorites. But the Monty Python and The Quest for The Holy Grail text is by far the most popular of all of the texts.

The downloadable files page is not what Homer Simpson advertises it as. This is NOT a warez page! It is simply a page full of interesting downloadable files, most of which are those we all forward back and forth to each other via e-mail and what not. Yes, this page does have an occasional application, but that does not make this a Warez page. What you will find is funny apps, videos, sounds, and cursors.

Since the September 1998 getty.net has been a participant in the Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search (GIMPS) in search of new Mersenne Prime numbers. Using the TempleU-CAS and TempleU-DI accounts getty.net has been able to contribute nearly 600 Pentium 90 CPU years to the GIMPS project. You too can join the GIMPS project and help find the 39th Mersenne Prime.

The village of Churchville, PA is located just outside of Philadelphia in Northampton Township, and is the former home of getty.net. Included on the page are a few pictures of Churchville along with a map, and and a brief description. Of the over 100 e-mails that I have received from this page, from both past and present residents, only one was positive about the town, all others were negative!

Tony's Temple Lunchtruck is located at the intersection of 12th Street and Berks Mall, on Temple University's Main Campus in Philadelphia, PA. Tony's is the home of the best food, the shortest lines, the best service, and incredibly low prices. There are many items that Tony sells that are not on the menu, ask and you may receive! Watch out for his coffee though, it's way too hot it's heated by magma.

Marc Getty bought his 1987 Volkswagen Scirocco 16V on the evening of July 2, 1999 at 159,900 miles, and has been driving it ever since. Recently I replaced the original VW teardrop rims with the early GTi rims from my old Jetta and put four new Pirelli HP tires for it. As of this writing on Monday November, 28 2000 it has a mere 192,000 miles on the clock, it's just broken in.
